Sheikh Zaid Alsalami

Sheikh Zaid Alsalami is an Iraqi born scholar, raised in Australia. He has studied in the Islamic Seminary of Qom, Iran for over two decades. In addition to his traditional studies, he obtained a BA from Al-Mustafa University, Qom, and an MA from the Islamic College in London. He is also in his final stages of completing his PhD candidature at Australian National University.

He has written and translated over forty Islamic texts in various topics, and also prepared educational videos on Islamic rulings and practices. Dr Ahmed Sami Aboud

Dr Aboud is a qualified Veterinarian working in the industry for the last 10 years. On a voluntary basis, he holds the position of a Justice of The Peace. 

Dr Aboud attends many meetings and forums with departments, such as Department of Home Affairs, Multicultural NSW and NSW Police to bring forth concerns from the Shi’ah Islamic Community. He is an establishing member of SANA and is involved in numerous charity projects. 

Hajj Hamza Bibawi

Carlos (Hamzah) Bibawi has a Bachelor of Economics and is a Compliance and Risk Management specialist with a focus in financial crime compliance. He converted to Islam in 2003 and has been an active member of the community since.

Hajj Hamzah is actively pursuing Islamic studies, being a student of the E-Hawzah program with Sheikh Leghaei, and has completed several subjects under Sheikh Alsalami. In addition to his extensive travelling, Hajj Hamzah has always been passionate about helping the underprivileged and assisting wherever he can with charity projects.
